One of Pakistan’s most sought after Cups is the Telecom market and very well so because it is a prize indeed. Currently Five major contestants, namely Ufone, Mobilink, Telenor and Warid battle it out on a daily basis with thier daily new packages and what not.

However, legacy has it that the champion of the market from the beginning holds his belt and is yet to be knocked off the first place by his contenders. yes Mobilink continues to dominate the mobile market even though it has been under threat of doing so by Ufone.

Zong being a new entrant into the battle seems to be picking up quickly having already claimed more than 4 percent of the market share in 2 years.

Warid and Ufone have more or less stood thier positions as seemingly Mobilink has lost its market to Telenor and Zong. See below for the the latest release by PTA.

I think the ufone costumers are increasing day by day after they have started the Mobile number portability. Most of the people were not switching to other connections coz then they had to change their number….but MNP solved their problem. More people are switching to other networks.
