Rumors circulating Meera’s marriage were in the air for quite some time, and this time the spouse was believed to be a ‘highly influential rich man’. Atiqur Rehman, claims to have spent about 3o million on the star, during their ‘short and secret’ marriage that took place on the 2nd of September 2007. The incident came to news when Meera’s mother was found taking out the rare antiquities from the house that Atiq gifted Meera as a marriage present. Also to be mentioned here is the fact that, Atiq, left his former wife for the pseudo beauty.
Meera, on the other hand, is adamant that she is ‘still single’, and this is all a part of the conspiracy played by Faisal Saif, the film producer of the upcoming Indian movie, ‘Murder at a farmhouse’. So, what does this ‘producer’ has to say about Meera’s marriage scandal? “Her allegations have destroyed my image; a leading Indian actress canceled the contract to appear in my next film”.
But isn’t he the same producer who made comments about Meera’s going away at unknown places, and her unprofessional conduct? And, the best of all, in Saif’s words ‘Meera demanded that I should provide her a burger in the middle of the Jungle! How was I supposed to get that in a JUNGLE’? Too bad there is no branch of McDonald in jungles! It would have saved a lot of trouble to poor Meera.
Coming down to the proof of their marriage; what about the Nikah Nama Meera? Forged!! And, the intimate pictures of you and Atiq? Tempered!! Oh, so what about the registrar who performed the ceremony? He’s an alien for all I care!! Sadly, this scandal has affected Meera’s mental equilibrium poorly!
Battle of wits-Or simply stupidity?
As the battle between the two went on, various artists presented their views, many of whom believe in Meera’s ‘innocence’. Now, when this ‘popularity stunt’ reached it’s peak, talks of settling the issue are surfacing. Sangeeta is acting as a bridge between the two, and is asking them to call off this issue. But, what settlement is this, Meera? We thought you were ‘still single’.
Alas! This is sadly the other side of showbiz!

Have you heard the latest, guys?! Meera was seen at the Karachi airport, FULLY COVERED (which is something RARE :p) in a burqa, Rumor has it that she is planning on going abroad for a few days to let the dust settle on her marriage issue!! Like I said, it keeps on getting better!
