1 billion Indians prayed for Pakistan

1 billion Indians prayed for Pakistan

Cricket has achieved what years of diplomacy could not achieve. Yesterday was a strange day. Indians praying hard for Pakistan’s win and on the other side Pakistani didn’t know who they should pray for :D.

Yesterday in deciding matches for India in Champions trophy Pakistan faced the defending champs Australia.

India had a chance to qualify for the semis if Pakistan had beaten Australia and India had beaten West Indies with a good margin. Here came the twist for Pakistani nation. They did not know who to pray for. If  Paksitan loses India, the historical rival of Pakistan, had a chance to qualify for the semi-final.

India... Champions are not like you

India... Champions are not like you

At this moment Australians prayed for Australian cricket team win, Indians prayed for Pakistan but Pakistanis here didn’t know what to do because if India had qualified, then there was a great chance that the final would have been between India and Pakistan. Secondly by losing to Aus, Pakistan would be playing with New Zealand which is thought to be a better option for Pakistan.

Whole Indian nation focused on Pakistan's match instead of India's match with the West Indies

According to Ten Sport, whole Indian nation was focusing on Pakistan’s match instead of India’s match with the West Indies but fortune played some games with them. Initially Australians were dominating the match but at the end Pakistani bowlers showed Indian fans some light at the end of the tunnel as the fought back dramatically. 3 overs, 18 runs and 2 wickets in hands. Match could swing in any way.

But unfortunately for Indians and fortunately/unfortunately for Pakistanis, Australia looted a nail-biting combat against Pakistan and dragged the thrilling contest on the final ball of the match. Sorry for the Indians fans but India lost a match that it was not even playing. Australia won the match by only two wickets in hand and confirmed there place in the semi-finals.

Dhoni fails once again to cheer up Indian fans

Pakistan once again defeated India, and the fun part is that this time they defeated them by losing a match.

Now Indian cricket team’s next target lies at home to tackle the fans and the stubborn Indian media.

Indian team who had left India like  heroes of the Champions trophy will now enjoy tomatoes at home.

On the other side Pakistani team has still a long way to go in Champions trophy. Whether they win or lose the Champions cup but they have won the hearts of Pakistani nation once again by defeating India not once but twice, Once by winning and once by losing.
