I believe that political interference was the main reason behind Younus Khan’s decision to resign as Pakistan’s captain, I would call it a blow to the sport in the country.

There was no need of Politicians interfering in cricket and they have not only snatched our team captain but have damaged the game badly.His statement came after the National Assembly’s sports committee called a meeting to investigate the team’s defeats by Australia and New Zealand in the recent Champions Trophy tournament played in South Africa.
However captain’s resignation was rejected by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ijaz Butt.
The team faced allegation that it threw the match against Australia to deny arch rival India a shot at the trophy and well this was a clear insult to the Captain,the authorities even started acting on this baseless allegation.
I believe this was all due to the media and the PCB.The media was irresponsible by relaying on a inauthentic statement by someone.Due to this reason Younus Khan resigned and It looks like that he would not be taking his decision back after such an allegation.

I believe that Younus has acted in haste and with emotion. The Pakistan team needs him and he shouldn’t have felt so strongly about the investigation. This is very common in Pakistan, so he should rescind (his resignation) and well this blame game should be ended.
All Players are sentimental and they do not expect such investigations or allegations.PCB should not accept his resignation.
