Sometimes in order to protect Islam and innocent people, physical force is required. This type of Jihad is only applicable when spiritual and mental Jihad fails to cut off evil.
During expedition of Khyber the Holy Prophet (SAW) ordered Hazrat Ali (R.A) to negotiate with the enemies and try to make a peace treaty with them. If they disagree to these offers,then fight with them. Hence physical Jihad is the last priority. This clearly shows that Taliban in Pakistan are on the wrong path as they have not negotiated once or signed a peace treaty but have started armed oppression on innocent people in a peaceful society with no evil forces present.
Quran says: ”Fight in the name of Allah with those who fight with you but do not transgress limits as Allah does not love transgressors”

This means that physical jihad is to be used as the last resort and in a proper manner avoiding extensive bloodshed and violence. However the Taliban has killed children,women and the old, the were all Muslims. They have even destroyed their own Holy Places 'Mosque' , this shows they are not Muslims and they are the evil force in the society.Mosque Destroyed
